Peter, formerly from a banking background in the City, has been a franchisee since 2005. He has already outgrown three studios and has current premises in the pretty village of Coggeshall, near Colchester and Braintree. The studio is fully equipped for baby, family and pet portrait photography.
Peter has one of the leading studios in East Anglia, covering the whole of Essex. He has also gone on to achieve a Licentiate Qualification with the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP).
Peter has extended his involvement and commitment with the continued success of the Franchise by becoming part of the management team in 2018. Peter says, “I am very pleased to be involved at this level with Barrett & Coe. My role in my own studio combines photography, marketing and business which is a lovely mix for me. I get real satisfaction from showing new franchisees how, with hard work and determination, one can realise their dreams of owning their own photography business .”
Peter also contributes to the support of all franchisees and has been constructive in conducting regular group meetings, training sessions and business workshops with them.
The ethos behind this is to give each studio continued photographic training, insight into business and marketing initiatives and its’ a great way for existing franchisees to meet new ones joining the group, and to catch up with everyone else to see how they are getting on. It provides a perfect platform for learning from each other and putting new ideas into practice.
In addition to his management role in Barrett & Coe, Peter continues to run his studio in Coggeshall, ably assisted by his Studio Manager Anne Wills, who has worked with Peter for twelve years, and their team. Anne is a graduate of photography from Southampton University and is a frequent winning photographer in the baby of the Month competition. Both Peter and Anne have won numerous awards over the past few years recognising their talent and achievement to date.
